Yellow Wellies Garden is operated by Andrea Roach with the assistance of her daughter Isobel and some supportive friends and family. The idea started while Andrea was sequestered at home during the 2020 COVID-19 crisis, wanting to do something to coach other parents to nurture little gardeners.
The start of Yellow Wellies Garden would not have been possible without the support of Andrea's part-time employers, St. Andrews Botanic Garden and Transition University of St. Andrews. To find out more about St. Andrews Botanic Garden please click on the link below.
St Andrews Botanic Garden holds a globally important botanic collection and is a centre for botanical knowledge. They use their diverse plant collections and expertise to promote and advance the education of diverse communities in the knowledge of botany, horticulture, the environment and other subjects related to the work carried out at the garden. They seek to help people live better and healthier lives through the use of their garden and natural environments and to understand, value and protect the plants that sustain our world.
Botanic Gardens around the world are a resource if you want to know more about botany, horticulture or the environment but they are also a great place to visit with your child or your class.
